Vintage African mud cloth has been growing in popularity for good reason. Each piece of cloth is hand woven in 6” wide strips then joined together with hand stitching, then the cloth is hand dyed using a technique that dates back to the 12 century. Fermented mud is used as the dye that achieves the rich dark lovely colors. These are a deep black. Each one is unique with the colors and patterns varying.
